Responsibilities of the role that you will need to be successful:

  • Deliver / pickup furniture and other items from donors with a focus on courteous and polite customer service
  • Follow schedules and meet deadlines
  • Maintain clean interior/exterior of company vehicles and compound
  • Daily maintain cleanliness of property and ensure no safety violations exist
  • Act of replacement truck driver when required
  • Bale clothing
  • Any fines, moving/parking violations, chargeable offences and their associated expenses are the responsibility of the driver
  • Be knowledgeable of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Adhere to policies and procedures set by management with the approval of the Store Committee
  • Perform other duties as assigned and assist the store manager as directed and as required
What we’re looking for from you:

  • Class G Drivers License
  • Must be at least 25 years of age (insurance requirement)
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy objects up to 75 pounds
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Safety shoes/boots must be worn at all times while working
  • Acceptance of a flexible work schedule that may include Saturday
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with difficult customers
  • Must be open to completing a police check.
